Organized on August 3rd, 1994, the Connecticut Butterfly Association (CBA) is the first organization in the state devoted exclusively to butterflies and moths.
The objectives of the Connecticut Butterfly Association are to:
  • promote the awareness and appreciation of butterflies and moths
  • locate, inventory and encourage preservation of butterfly and moth habitat
  • develop and maintain a lepidoptera database.
CBA offers members:
  • Butterfly walks and field trips
  • Photography field trips
  • Educational indoor programs
  • Garden plant list to attract butterflies
  • Identification workshops
  • Newsletters
  • Connecticut Butterfly Checklist
  • The Life Histories of CT Butterflies
CBA is a recognized educational non-profit organization under IRS rule 501(c)(3).
